Christian Christmas Alphabet

Christian Christmas Alphabet

This is an alternative version of the popular song ‘Christmas Alphabet’ by Buddy Kaye and Jules Loman. The words seek to convey the true meaning of Christmas, in a secular world where the spiritiual dimension to life is largely ignored.

C   Is for the Christ child, born upon this Christmas Day;

H   Is for King Herod, who didn’t have his way;

R   Is for Redeemer, which is part of Jesus’ name;

I   Is for Israel, the nation to which Jesus came;

S   Is for the shepherds who didn’t travel far;

T   Is for the three Wise Men, who followed the bright star;

M  Is for the manger, where Mary laid his head;

A   Is for the angels, who stood around his bed;

S   Is for our Saviour, who came when time was right.

Trust in him and he’ll give you the gift of eternal life.

(Words by Brian Sloan.  Sung to the tune ‘Christmas Alphabet’, by Buddy Kaye and Jules Loman)

The purpose of this blog is to encourage others to read the Bible on a regular basis and to discover that God's Word applies to daily life. I will generally publish posts and a Verse for the Day alternately.
